It's time for another spooooky card! This one features the Autumn Harvest stamp set. I love this set because its pumpkin images are so versatile for all Fall activities--pumpkin patches, Halloween, you name it. This card uses the masking technique, which is done with a simple Post-It Note. To learn how, watch the video below:
The inspiration for this week's Re-Work Wednesday project comes from the Holiday Mini Catalog, page 22. The original project is actually a chipboard book, but I thought the design would make a fun card. The original is shown below:
This card uses this year's In Color markers, as well as a hostess stamp, called Holiday Best.

If you have a little kid in the house, as I do, this whole week is nothing but a big fat countdown to Halloween! So, I'm embracing it by creating some spoooooky cards. This one is uses the Eat, Drink & Be Scary stamp set.

This past weekend was a whirlwind, with a "double" birthday party to attend. I've already posted the card I made for one of the boys; this is the other one. It features the Crazy for Cupcakes set, which is so versatile, great for all ages.
Sorry I'm a little late getting this week's Re-Work Wednesday posted. My son woke up sick this morning, so that has definitely slowed us down today!
This week's project is inspired by page 102 of the Idea Book & Catalog, and by the fact that on Monday, I received my new Peace Within stamp set. There's nothing like getting a new stamp set to get the juices flowing! The original project is shown below:
This stamp set begs to be watercolored, so I used my Watercolor Crayons and an Aquapainter on Watercolor Paper to achieve the subtle shading.

Here is another example using the new Treat Cups that are featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I just love making cards with these little things, although I must admit that a fair portion of the candy doesn't make it into the Treat Cup--can't imagine why! The cups are only $2.95 for a dozen, so they are a fun way to make special Halloween or Christmas goodies for everyone in your office, or your child's classroom. At that price, you can keep a couple dozen of them around for quick cards.
I will be teaching this card at a private Stamp Camp tonight. Private camps are just a group of gals who get together and have me teach a class just for them, usually because they can't make it to my regular camp. This one is for a women's group at a church, but I also do them after school for teachers, or I can meet at your workplace after hours. OK, no, I'm not talking about a hippo with a really great beat and some fancy footwork! I'm talking about a stamping technique called "Rock-and-Roll." It's a fun and easy way to add some dimension to your stamped images. To learn how, watch this quick video; it lasts just over a minute.

This week's Re-Work Wednesday project is inspired by page 178 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. I chose it because I loved the detail added by the little paper clip from the Clips Assortment and the brad. The original is shown below:
Instead of the heart, I decided to use a butterfly die cut for the Big Shot and I cut it from a piece of Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper. I didn't have the Filigree brad shown in the original, so I swapped it for a pink brad from the Flowers Assortment.
That paper behind the butterfly? Well, it's exactly what it looks like--a piece of notebook paper! I knew my son's school supplies would come in handy someday! To continue on with the school/office look, I punched the bottom of the card with the Spiral Punch.
We put out our Halloween decorations last week, and my son decided we really don't have enough! So, mommy's Stampin' Up! supplies to the rescue.
I made this little door hanger using the new Build-a-Bear die cuts for the Big Shot. I started with the basic bear, then added accessories from the Kooky Spooky die. The stamped phrase is from the Eat, Drink & Be Scary set, and I added a Mini Library Clip for detail.
Now we have a fun decoration for the hallway. I have a feeling I'm going to be making a lot of these projects--have you seen our Build-a-Bear Christmas accessories??
